Yatish Kuril, Ph.D., FMERC, FMERU, WRFL, is a Professor of Management, management scholar, executive educator, author, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor whose work spans strategy, entrepreneurship, family business, leadership, governance, finance, enterprise risk, and organizational transformation.
His academic interests focus on how leaders, founders, boards, and organizations make better decisions under uncertainty, complexity, technological disruption, and institutional change. Drawing on more than three decades of industry exposure and extensive experience in management education, research, consulting, and institution building, he brings a practitioner-scholar perspective to the classroom and executive learning.
He is Founder and Group Director of Kuril Founders B-School, where he leads initiatives in entrepreneurship, family business, executive education, research, consulting, and case development. He is also Founder and Director of Finvigil Insights Pvt. Ltd., working in credit intelligence, receivables management, due diligence, business intelligence, enterprise risk, and AI-enabled governance.
Kuril has authored and co-authored more than 350 articles, research papers, business cases, professional papers, and white papers. His books include How to Get Your PhD: The Leadership Guide, All About Leading People, The Indian Founder’s Mindset, Strategic Management: Theory and Practice, Financial Management: Theory and Practice, The Founder Within, The Human Advantage, Risk Is Strategy, Business After 2030, and India 2047: The Entrepreneurial Nation.
His teaching interests include strategic management, entrepreneurship, family business, leadership, corporate governance, financial management, risk management, innovation, and AI for managers. His teaching philosophy emphasizes case discussion, analytical reasoning, managerial judgment, strategic trade-offs, and decision-making under uncertainty, with the objective of developing thoughtful, responsible, and execution-oriented leaders.
His current research examines founder mindset, entrepreneurial judgment, family-business transformation, MSME competitiveness, board effectiveness, strategic execution, organizational resilience, and AI readiness. Across these domains, he seeks to connect rigorous management thinking with practical action and measurable institutional impact.
